This year’s Bucks Skills show was held on the 8th and 9th March at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

The show is attended by students, young adults and people of all ages looking for career inspiration and guidance.

Seymour Taylor were delighted to join over 120 exhibiting businesses and organisations at the show, including Pinewood Studios, Metro Bank, Amazon, Disney, Buckinghamshire College Group, GE Healthcare, Hartwell House Hotel & Spa, Cloudy IT, Balfour Beatty, Buckinghamshire Council and URA Thrusters.

It was a great opportunity for members of the ST team to meet with students interested in a career in accountancy or adults looking for a career change. It also provided a good networking opportunity with other businesses.

The event had really positive feedback and was attended well:

  • Overall attendees: 5,200
  • 4,700 school students from 30 schools
  • Over 500 attendees at the evening session
  • 127 indoor stands
  • ITV Meridian News coverage of the event
  • 15 speakers and panellists who did evening talks

Marina Jackson, Under 19 Skills Manager & Careers Hub Lead, Buckinghamshire Skills Hub, said: “The Bucks Skills Show is the largest careers inspiration event in the county and keeps growing each year, as seen by the runaway success of this year’s event at Stoke Mandeville Stadium. It was heart-warming to see the excitement of all of those in attendance as they met businesses from a wide range of sectors, as well as education providers, gathering information about their potential next steps.”
