Why choose a career in accountancy?

Accountants working within accountancy practices work with and advise businesses of all sizes on a wide range of matter. The career path can be varied and is not limited to accountants in practice. Accountants can be found on the boards of some of the world’s largest companies as Finance Directors, Chief Finance Officers and even as Chief Executive Officers.

A job in accountancy is varied

No two days in accountancy are ever the same. One day you could be advising an entrepreneur on what they need to be aware of when launching a new business, the next you could be helping charity staff get to grips with managing their finances, while another day you could be presenting to businesses on the latest tax changes. With the rapid development of technology within the accountancy world, our team are using and learning about new technology all the time and training clients on these exciting new areas.

It’s about building long term relationships

You need to be able to work with people as it’s a key part of the role. As you develop you will be working with clients as well as networking with peers and other businesses.

Where careers begin and grow

From first steps to long term progression, our apprenticeship case study shows how we support people at the very start of their accountancy careers.
