Here at Seymour Taylor, we know that creating a more positive place to live and work is vital, and that is why giving back to the local community is so important to us.

We pride ourselves on being at the heart of our community, supporting local charities and organisations wherever we can.

So, how are we giving back this festive season?

Toys for disadvantaged children

This year, we are proud to be involved with Bucks Radio’s toy appeal, utilising our office as a drop off point.

Many children will be facing a difficult Christmas, and that is why we are accepting toys, games, and gifts for those who need it most until 19 December.

You can drop items off for babies up to teenagers, but Bucks Radio request that these are not wrapped.

Christmas tree collection

As well as this, we are delighted to be sponsoring Child Bereavement UK, Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Peace Hospice Care’s Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme through the month of December to raise awareness of their Christmas Tree collections.

These fantastic, local charities will be collecting real, used Christmas trees in January 2023, in return for a donation.

To have your tree collected, you must register before midnight on Friday 6 January 2023, and collections will take place between 13 and 15 January.

Food collections

Thirdly, we will be supporting the One Can Trust food bank. We always have a food collection point in our office and ensure we drop off a collection before the Christmas break. This year, vulnerable families need our help more than ever.

The most sought-after food for those in need includes:

  • Tinned meat meals
  • UHT Milk
  • Rice
  • Tinned soups
  • Tinned fish
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Pasta sauce
  • Juice
  • Cooking sauces
  • Toilet roll

If you are unsure about what you can and can’t donate, or what the food bank needs, please look at their website https://onecantrust.org.uk/wants-and-needs/
