Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme

Many businesses are utilising the Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) to retain their employees during these difficult economic and social times. If you have already furloughed employees, or are considering doing so, you will need to negotiate the online system being set up by HM Revenue and Customs, which opens on 20 April. As well as enabling you to make the grant application at the earliest opportunity and therefore receiving the much needed cash flow as soon as possible, the Government have also announced that they will be undertaking retrospective audits of claims made under the scheme, so it is vitally important that your submitted calculations are correct.
