The Role

As a well-established, expanding, forward thinking firm we are looking for someone to replace our current Personal Assistant to our Managing Director as she is retiring.

In this full-time position you will support the Managing Director on a day to day basis with administration tasks and diary management; act on the MD’s behalf, liaising with all companies and staff within the group to obtain information to produce reports and to ensure the MD and the company is being represented to the best advantage. 

You will work closely with Marketing to manage the MD’s projects, attend meetings and take minutes, provide an excellent service to our clients and cover other support roles when the need arises.

This is a busy and varied role which requires a strong, confident professional with a minimum of ten years’ experience in a PA role.

The Candidate

Essential

  • At least 10 years of experience as a PA working for Board level Directors in a busy environment
  • Effective communicator at all levels with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills – logical and methodical and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent computer skills; especially proficient in using Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly
  • A flexible approach to accommodate ever changing priorities
  • The ability to remain calm whilst adapting to daily challenges

  • Experience in event management

Trainee Accountant

Location: High Wycombe, HP11

Salary : £Competitive

The Role

As a well-established, expanding, forward thinking firm we are looking for an Account’s Trainee to join our team.

The ideal candidate should be either a graduate or school leaver with A-level’s or similar and have obtained a grade 5 or higher in both Maths and English Language GCSEs.  No previous accounting experience is necessary as full on the job training will be provided along with a full study package.

The role is a varied accounts role, working for external clients and within the Hampden Group. This would involve working at clients premises and the candidate would need their own car and a valid driving licence.

We are looking for someone who is a good team player, with experience of general office computer packages, such as word and excel, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.

Business Services Manager

Location: High Wycombe, HP11

The Role

As a well-established, expanding, forward thinking firm we are looking for a Business Services Manager to join our team. The role is essentially managing a mixed client portfolio working for all directors, where Seymour Taylor carry out the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, bookkeeping, outsourced accounting functions, software training and support, forecasting and other ad-hoc projects. In addition to this you will be involved in increasing the service offering of the Business Services team and actively growing the client base.

The Candidate

Essential

  • Previous experience of overseeing a management accounts and bookkeeping team
  • Desire to drive the team and service provision forward and ensure that Seymour Taylor remains at the forefront of technology to assist our clients
  • Ability to delegate to ensure that work is timely and completed within budget, whilst still monitoring all work carried out and remaining in control
  • Team player and be flexible to assist with covering client work in the absence of others
  • Able to take on ad-hoc projects

Desirable

  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified or equivalent
  • Familiar with Sage Line 50, Xero, Quickbooks and other accounting packages
