The Role

As a well-established, expanding, forward thinking firm, we are looking for an Outsourced Accounting Services Manager to join our team, supporting our directors with managing a portfolio of clients.

The services provided by the Outsourced Accounting Services team include management accounts, VAT returns, bookkeeping, digital health checks, software training and support, forecasting/budgeting and other ad-hoc projects as requested by clients.

The ideal candidate should be ICAEW or ACCA qualified and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working primarily in management accounts / outsourced accounting services with a good working knowledge of Sage and Xero and experience of managing a portfolio of clients. We require good verbal and written communication skills and are looking for someone who keeps client service in the heart of what they do.

Experience with other digital solutions and a wider knowledge of cloud accounting packages is desirable, but not essential to the role.

We are looking for someone who is a good team player and the successful candidate should be dedicated to a career in practice. The position comes with full CPD training. We are an approved training practice for ICAEW and ACCA.

The Role

As a well-established, expanding, forward thinking firm, we are looking for a Client Manager to join our team, supporting our directors with managing a portfolio of personal tax and accounts clients. 

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years’ experience working primarily in accounts and personal tax services, with experience of managing a portfolio. We require good verbal and written communication skills and are looking for someone who keeps client service in the heart of what they do.

Ideally, the candidate will be ICAEW, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualified. Trust tax, Capital Gains tax and Inheritance tax experience is preferred but consideration will be given to candidates who have a desire to train in these areas.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working primarily in audit, accounts preparation and compliance services, with experience of leading audits. We require good verbal and written communication skills.

Ideally, the candidate will be ICAEW or ACCA qualified, although we would consider candidates who have only a small number of exams left to complete for these qualifications.

Experience using Sage payroll or IRIS payroll professional is advantageous although not essential.

The Role

As a well-established, expanding, forward thinking firm we are looking for an Apprentice Accountant to join our team.

The ideal candidate should be either a graduate or school leaver with A-level’s or similar and have obtained a grade 5 or higher in both Maths and English Language GCSEs.  No previous accounting experience is necessary as full on the job training will be provided along with a full study package.

The role is a varied accounts and audit role, working for external clients and within the Hampden Group. This would involve working at clients premises and the candidate would need their own car and a valid driving licence.

We are looking for someone who is a good team player, with experience of general office computer packages, such as Word and Excel, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
